Situation A – There is a gap in what patient understands about their health and care. It was noted that patient involvement in care is enhanced by given bedside report during nursing handoff. Patient involvement led to better outcome and safety.
Situation B- Among other benefits of bedside report during nursing handoff, patient as the center of care allow involvement in care leading to increase in patient satisfaction about care received during hospital stay.
