Organizational change and innovation have significance in the workplace to inspire, invigorate, and improve upon positive development within the company. Innovation is just as important with the creation of new technologies, materials, and processes the load may be lifter from physical work to machines, or heavier materials to lighter or cheaper materials savings companies money, time, and manpower. Organizational change keeps a fresh work environment, keeps staff flexible and adaptable, and keeps business processes at the center point over personal interests. Managers leading staff away from “feelings of loss, uncertainty, and negative perceptions” (chap 12, pg. 390) will provide stability and direction during organizational changes.
Classmate 2:
Organizational change and innovation are important to a company because its a way of succeeding and accomplishing goals. Innovations help facilitate work for the employees. For example, providing new technology helps by saving time and money which will make the company more profitable and provide a faster turnaround time. Technology is always advancing and if we do not keep up with it then we will be the ones to become slower. For example, if we do not have the resources needed to accomplish a task it will take us longer to do the job and we might end up charging customers more because of the complexity of the job. This will make customers find a more affordable place who has the better technology and is charging them less for the same job which is why organizational change and innovation are essential to the organizations growth and development.
